Default Eclipse CD8443 vs. Alpine CDA-9815

I've been looking into a new headunit and front speakers for my EK hatch. Does anyone have any opinions on these two headunits? These seem to have the best internal amps on the market along with tons of digital effects and EQ's.

Also, looking at the Diamond Audio M351 6.5in separates for the front. Opinons?

EDIT

Sorry, just found this post. But any other opinons are welcome.

Alpine = MUCH MUCH more adjustability (if that's your thing), and MP3 playback.
Eclipse = Much less complex (aside from the parametric eq), 8v pre-outs, and no MP3 playback.

It's your choice. If you aren't using outboard amps I'd stick with Alpine.

I have an alpine CDA-7897 and it is awesome. You can pretty much tune the whole system with it. It just works great. Alpine

I had the 9815 and really liked it. It has XM radio and MP3 which were very important to me when I was choosing a deck

I like the eclipse. It doesnt have all the little options but is really easy to use and if you are really serious into SQ then thats what you will want.

As far as the Diamond Audio components they are some of the best speakers for the price ever!

Eclipse and Diamond is all I have all around!

my friend has the 9813 (or was it the 9815?)
and i have the 8443.
we both have stock speakers in our 00 gsr's (my system before it got jacked)
he rode in my car recently.
my friend:"bro..how come it sounds like you got surround sound..."

well, i did upgrade my ground wires...i USED to have an alpine 7894 before it got
jacked..which is one reason why i went with eclipse this time besides the 8v preouts (i plan to run amps)
upgrading the ground wires..i noticed my system bumped louder and cleaner..

i think it was on caraudioforum.com where i read on some thread that this guy had an alpine before...had some amp powering some sub..then he switched to an eclipse head unit with 8v preouts and he noticed he didn't have to drive his sub/amp as hard (set his bass level at a lower level) to have the bass he wanted.
he said the bass was noticably louder and cleaner with the eclipse.

i personally like the way the alpine's looked..and they were more user friendly imo..played the mp3's with no additional purchase of some commander or whatever eclipse has to enable you to play mp3's and what not..

eclipse i like the 8v preouts..ESN network (security)..and i'm going to run atleast a 1000 watt amp to the next sub setup i go with so i chose to try eclipse for now. i also like the remote better
and eclipse head unit's don't need the detachable face because of the security network thing that's already built in.

Hey, EVOL man did you mail the receipt yet or what?

Only real advantage the alpine has over the eclipse is the mp3 playback ability IMO. Alpine is too flashy and colorful.
