whats the best motor to boost ?

Default whats the best motor to boost ?

just wanted to get everyones opinion on whicjh motor is best to boost and give u best times on the track?

That's kinda a personal preference really.... if I were gonna start building a motor to boost I'd probably do a b18c1 gsr motor.

Yep... the b18 is just a nice platform to start on. But also I just started a project of my own where I'll be boosting an h23/vtec in my hatch.

i know this may sound dumb.. but i say d16y8. just my stupid opinion.

its not stpid....boosting sohcs is a good idea for low bubget people like myself who cant afford a b-series to boost

d series or good.........but ls is the best imo.......post in the FI forum to get more info

Buy an ls teg, its bullet proof.......If you have some more money to play with then get a b-series gsr or type r motor. Most all the b-series motors have very high compression though, which means more money building it to withstand higher boost. Good Luck

I'd boost an LS... Best IMO... Low compression and it likes turbo.
