Default preparing engine.

okay i got my engine in the other day and while its still out i wanted to go ahead and switch some stuff out on it. i was wondering what i could use off my old engine as far as hoses (i assume all of them) and other things that might be there that i just don't know about quite yet. tomorrow or the next day i plan on buying some spark plugs, spark plug wires, rotor, timing belt, water pump, and tensioner pulley. i was assuming i could buy most of this at the local autozone, but if someone knows where i can get most of this stuff off the net that would be cool too. also, if there is anything else that i would need that wasn't mentioned let me know (exluding engine oils and fluids).

also, i saw a post about checking the internals of your engine first. just to check out everything looks normal. what exactly should i look at? thanks for anyones time.

I would suggest front and rear main seals, oil pan and valve cover gasket, could prevent alot of headaches, the lower rad. hose is a 91 teg hose the upper, well I used the one from the donor clip. dont forget mounts, axles, hubs, wiring, etc.... all of your old heater hoses will work just fine.

it came with the integra's axles. steveo from hmotorsonline.com said they would work fine with the proper hubs from the si/dx.

Bingo. Do front and rear main seals now while it's easy to get to. Both seals should be less then $15 and it's major insurance. Otherwise, if they start leaking, you have to remove the transmission to get to one end and do the equivalent of a timing belt swap on the other end.
Also look at cam seals.
