I have an custom intake, and the hose connect to the intake ( connected to the valve cover or the head ) i didnt hook that up then when i went for a ride it started smoking and only reason i can think of is that hose i didnt connect. Do you think thats the problem? do i have to connect it to fix the problem? any replies would be helpful. Thanks

That hose itself cannot smoke......it is a ventilation system for the oily vapors, which really isn't alot and couldn't even really burn or smoke on something hot. And if smoke does come out from there than you have a problem or extremely old cruddy oil. Oh yeah hook it back up
