Alpine R12's repair ?
I just got a nice sealed box, with two Alpine R12's dual voice coil. I paid $50 because they had surround rubber peeling off of the cone. Other then that they looked good, cone moves smooth in and out. My question is where can I take them to repair, and is there any kind of warranty that I can use. Anyone know any place local to NYC that can fix them for me ?
so the rubber isn't connect to the one correct....taht happened to my R12 sub......i just took some superglue went around the bottoe of the rubber put it back onto the cone...and when it seals it will be like new mines been just fine since i repaired it like 7 months ago hehe and i bump the hell outa it too
I was thinking about doing the same, but Im worried about the cone being completely centered. Was your cone still connected to the ruber at all ? Mine are both totaly seperated, except for one small patch on one sub thats still connected. I know if its not totaly straight, it will rub against the coil. Im thinking about sending them back to alpine, all I need is a reciept from an authorized dealer. Anyone got their reciept ? I'll pay for a copy, you can keep the original.
