I have a 89 crx with a JDM b18c type R in it and I am unsure of what year it is. How can I find this out????

I think you should ask the person who sold you the car or motor...

 

I agree and have tried......but the person who sold me the motor "supposedly" moved to japan.

the head will be stamped with the year.. not sure how to tell anything else..

four circles on the front above the exhaust ports.. look for a 9|8 or 0|1 or something to that effect in the furthest left one.. 98 = 1998 and 01 = 2001, etc..

this is of course assuming all the heads were stamped the same way..
