Grinding 2nd gear
I believe your syncro is going out because my car does the same for 3rd gear. You will need a new tranny to get rid of it. dont even waist your time and money getting it fixed.
before going out and spending a lot of money on a new tranny, please check the fluid level in your tranny; if it's too low, it'll grind and occasionally pop out of gear. That's what mine did, and the 2 tranny places I took it to never even bothered checking the fluid level to let me know it was too low. Changed my tranny fluid, used GM Synchromesh Friction Modified, and now I have absolutely no grinds, and it doesn't pop out of gear at all.
