Anyone order a motor from OsakaJdmMotors.com?
I was planning on ordering a B16 from osakajdmmotors.com and I was just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them, and if so, how is their customer service? Are they good or bad? How are the motors that they sell? If anyone has any information on this, it would greatly help.
I've heard good and bad things about them. I live in Upstate NY and they are a 4 hour drive for me to get to them. I recently picked up to engines from them. Neither engine has any problems and they both run great, but again, I picked out what engines I wanted to buy and made sure I got the right ECU's. I have no complaints, but they are Japanese people who live in Canada, who speak French, and use English as their 3rd language. So essentially you will be dealing with people who speak Japanese as their 1st language , French as their 2nd, and English as their 3rd. This is probably why some people hve problems when dealing with them.

If you live in sacramento, why not order from Cali??? http://www.hmotorsonline.com is the only place I'd ever buy another motor from.
Why would you go against the grain? Just go HMO. All the motors my boy has swapped came from there. All were spotless inside, smoke free, and quiet(tap-free). I'd have to say that Steve strives to please every customer.
If you look through archived content and search a LOT of people have had VERY bad experiences with osaka from bad motors to.. bad motors.. to being ripped off etc.. Not just missing a hose here and there.. Either way I've never heard anything major bad with hmo they seem to be very good.. if I were to get a motor I would go with hmo for sure..

I bought a motor from Osaka. People had given me bolth negative and positive feedback before I bought from them. All I can say is they have good prices and excellent products but if your going to buy from them, be there to pick it out yourself. I drove 10 hours to get there and it was worth it because they have engines in mint condition and they have some in shitty conditions. If you don't pick it out in person witch one do you think they are going to send you? I have had my motor for a year and It runs great. I had a compression test done after I installed it and it was perfect.
I have no complaints but if you can't pick it out youself I would be careful.

Not many of us here want to drive 10 hrs. to pick a motor......then again we shouldn't have to. Your statement pretty much says what is needed to get a good apple from them.

i got my motor from osaka and it sucks..lol.j/k but when i got it it had a broken dis cap and a broken tps sensor and a worn out head gasket..so go with what the other peeps have been sayin..good luck
almost every motor you get shipped to you will have a broken tps sensor and distributer cap and sometimes the air temperature sensor and o2 sensor. anyways 2 of my friends have gotten motors from osaka, the first one runs fine and the 2nd one we just got didnt come with axles and runs on 2 1/2 cylinders. we have yet to diagnose the problem but its not the distributer cap, rotor, wires, or plugs because spark is getting to the pistons. we are thinking burnt/floated/broken valve(s) but havent gotten a chance to do a compression test yet. all i have to say about osaka is good luck getting a mint motor.
