Default engine stands

Anyone in here using any particular type of engine stands for their 4 bangers?
Do I need to look for any particular type or can I just buy one out of Summits catalog? I know theirs are made for the V-8's and bolt up to the rear like a bellhousing. Just wondering if these will work on 4 bangers as well.

You can pick up engine stands from Advance, AutoZone, or even PepBoys probably for less than you can through mail-order (especially after shipping charges from Summit).

hey b18c ej1, where did you get the harbor freight tools catalog at? i received one in the mail a while back but haven't received one since. i remember seeing an engine hoist in there for around 80 dollars.

and do you know where they're located? and last question, what is the quality of their tools?

They're a harbor freight local to me. Quality is ..."ok" nothing to squawk about. But hell for $30, I can afford to get another if it breaks or someone steals it.

I think they have an online catalog.

This is the one I got. They have it for $50, but I think I got it on sale for $30.

Yep, they do.
