Default Spedometer is not running

Ive searched everywhere for my Chilton Manual and I couldn't find it.

I recently took out my tranny and installed a new clutch. Tuesday I was in such a rush to put the car back together that I think I missed something, the Odometer,Spedometer!

If you can tell me where it is at or a diagram to show me where I can find the spedometer. I have a little metal pin about 1" inch in length, is this the pin needed for the spedometer.

the speed sensor (vss) is located directly below the intake manifold on the transmission, near the rear engine mount. It has two hoses connected to it and mounts with one bolt.

As far as the pin goes is it a cotter pin? if so it may go to the shift linkage but thats just a guess

*edit*
by the way chilton is worthless get a helms manual

It's just the plug in the top that needs to be plugged back in. Or pushed in a little more. The 2 tubes that come out of it go to the steering rack. That's where the speed sensitive steering.
