i just bought a 97 teg with a hid kit in it. but he bought the Acura cl kit n modified the wiring, and told me to juss get the hid light bulb and it would work fine. Would i have to just buy 9006 hid bulb? and any recommendation of HIDs.

The HID capsule that fits your kit doesn't have a 9006-type base. The base of the oem capsules are shaped much differently. As you can see here, this is the standard base for any D2S/R capsule on the left, and the 9006 rebased capsule is on the right:

You'll have to buy a pair of these capsules (left), and get the base modified to fit the 9006 housing in your teg.

Not as easy as it looks!!! I am still trying to get the correct bulb for my retro-fit. Has anyone else noticed that there are two types of D2S bulbs? The 4 metal tabs holding up the bulb itself are either at a high (severe) angle or a shallow angle. Only the bulbs with the high (severe) angle can be properly cut down in order to fit the 9006 ring.
The bulb you have pictured is the flat angle that will not work.

If you look closely the one you have has 4 metal vertical tabs showing and the one pictured on top has no metal tabs at all. Also the part that holds up the bulb (metal wire wrapped in colored brown plastic) is plastic instead of metal.

That guide wire doesn't hold up the bulb. It carries the charge to the inner part of the capsule. Also, the brown sheath around it is ceramic, not plastic. It's only purpose is to protect the guide wire.
That 9006 capsule I pictured above was just to show what the base looks like. It's not a philips bulb, that's why the tabs are different. PatrickGSR94 showed what the true 9006-rebased Philips HID capsule looks like.
This pic from xenondepot.com explains a lot:
The original poster needs to find a D2S capsule with one of these adapter rings already molded to the base.

The one w/o the metal tabs already has a 9006 base on it.

Ok...
The 9006 connector that allows the bulb to go in the slot is what I was refering to. I wish I had photo shop so I could circle it!

The 9006 base is the mounting ring. That's all rebasing is...adding the adapter/mounting ring to the base of the capsule.

not that simple... you also have to trim a lot of the plastic in order to make it go far enough into the projector housing.

The tabs and evereything is already on this bulb, ready to go into a 9006 application... this looks alot better than my bulbs as far as the base goes, because it has the entire 9006 base including o-ring.
I had to jerry-rig an o-ring onto my bulbs so it would fit snugly.
However I don't like the fact that it doesn't use a factory-style D2 connector like my bulbs do.

I've never heard of there being an issue with how far the bulbs need to be mounted in the housing. After you trim all the plastic to make the bulb go in farther, you get the bulb to go in...2-3mm deeper? I've never rebased a D2S/R bulb before, but it seems like all you have to do is slide the adapter ring over the base and glue it on. Maybe some plastic trimming is done, but I doubt it's to make the bulb mount deeper in the housing.
I think you're making this more difficult than it really is.

Now if you were rebasing this bulb:
yes you have to trim the mounting ring off of that bulb, and attach the 9006 mounting ring in its place.

it seems like the guy who install this put the cl kit IN IT n converted the base to the regular 9006 base. is HID bulb for teg still the same code? 9006? n where can i juss find only the bulbs?

Huh? That made no sense. Please rephrase that legibly.

he bought a cl kit n put it in the integra. n where you stick the bulb is at, is actually a integra base. so im thinking i should buy a hid bulb for teg. but im wondering if the bulb(teg HID BULB) would match with the kit(acura cl kit).
sorrry i dont relali know **** about hid so im kinda struggling here

Okay well then I don't know what you were talking about before, I'm confrused
CL's use D2R bulbs for reflector headlights, they wouldn't be right in an Integra. There is no such thing as an Integra HID bulb since they don't use HID. If you mean a bulb rebased to fit a 9006 application then yeah that is what you need, but it needs to be a D2S bulb for use in projector headlights.
