Default building up a ZC compared to buying a b16a/b18c

i have been thinking about this lately...i just got a job and want to fix up my car asap. my problem is with my ZC engine, everyone i know who has drove it is like "whoa that **** has pull" but to me, i dont know if i'd rather go with an SI or GSR engine. i just started thinking about building the SOHC ZC engine up, and saw alot of people do it. i was just wondering on any of your guys imputs? i want some good ET's out of it but dont know if the ZC can put out good power? any suggestions? and can i put a v-tech head on my SOHC ZC? if so from what engine? thanks

its VTEC not V-tech y0!

you can build up the SOHC ZC like any d series engine, and yes a SOHC VTEC head will bolt right on. just remember that a B series with similar mods will always have more horsepower, since its a better platform, but as long as you dont come across any hardcore built B's you should have no problem handling the smaller guys..

Also keep in mind that a B18C will produce more torque than a ZC EVER could. And if you consider increasing displacement, remember that you can get more cubes out of a B-series block.

If I was really going to build up an engine I would go B-series. But I'm not so my DOHC ZC is good enough for me. Perhaps turbo it some day.
