What to look for in an alignment shop?
So, what do I look for when I take my car to get the alignment done?
I'm sure that there are machines that are far superior than others. Or, am I wrong on this?
Can anyone suggest a tip or two in finding the right place to get the alignment done? I just want everything set to 0... no autoX alignment or nothing. Thanks.

I just go to a semi-local place that does a lot of work with sponsored track vehicles and has a lot of On-Track experience.
They mainly work on BMW lightweights, but work on a few FWD Hondas here and there

I know two places that SCCA guys prefer, but the problem is that they are pretty damn far away from my place. It would take me at least an hour to get to these shops. I mean, is that my only option? Regular places (tire stores) can't do the job right??
I have never had any luck finding a good shop. One place wouldn't touch my car unless I bought a camber kit. Tire kingdom offered a deal for alignments for year for like $90, which seemed ok. I think my brother had his car alligned at the Honda dealership after it was lowered and they did a fair job.
I take my car to Tires Plus, a generic tire store chain. Their machine isn't flashy, but it does the job, and it accommodates my lowered car. I purchased their "lifetime alignments" package for $120, and I've had my car aligned 4 times already. Helluva bargain!

I know you can find the best tire mounting places by who has this machine(found this trick on NSXPrime):

your best bet is a dealership. Im a honda technician and the guys i do work for aproached me asking about sidejobs and such, turned out to be a good deal for all of us. go to your local dealer and try to talk to some of the techs there. guarantee you will find one thats willing to do a little extra to get your dropped car aligned, plus dealers invest enough money in the shop to have a very nice alignment machine.

yes, this is true. but more important, there are alignment techs that are far superior to others. I'm glad i do my own alignments. that way i know exactly whats going on with my car.
