how much Deg. advance timing can you get before having to alter dizzy?
I need around 19 deg. advance for my cam. PYRstage3. And also, whats the max deg. you can get from advancing your dizzy on 100 octain.

you advanced your cam 19 degrees? or you want to advance distributor timing 3 degrees? if you alter cam timing your going to have to counter adjust (if that makes sense) the distributor timing. thats as much help as i can give with a question like that.

Your topic confused me. I thought u were referring to cam timing?? If its cam timing then i believe the max is 10 degrees advance and 10 retard. Once u adjust the cam timing then distributor must be readjusted (SOHC motors). But if u are referring to ignition timing (which is what i think ur talking about) then 19 degrees advanced can be done. What do u mean "altering the dizzy"? About ur octane question , i really wouldnt know, i guess u could just go out and get some 100 and find out for urself.
