Default Got screwed on my JDM Conversion (56k beware)

**Update** Brian Wong has taken care of the issue. He stands behind his products and completely took care of the problem.

A few weeks ago I posted pictures of my ITR that got hit in the driver's side door. While the car was in the body shop I decided it was a good time to do a JDM conversion. I decided to buy a JDM Conversion from Brian Wong (18c1_powered_si) because he had a very good selling history on HT.

it shouldn't cost 700 to get the parts usable..

700 to sand it down a little filler if even needed??

thats one stupid *** body shop. if they are getting paid to fix your car already they should do all that for free, atleast thats how it is for me when i go to my body shop.

That's no good . I'm sure he'll fix the situation. Shipping could be responsible for some of the scratches on the bumper as well as the missing sidemarker, maybe. How much did you pay?

probably not.. this guy sells a lot of front ends on here..

highly unusual.. he does have a pretty good rating.. some of that could be shipping damage, i guess, but not ALL of it, that's for sure.. why didn't you wait to hear back from the seller before posting this?

Sorry to hear about that Brad. Those pictures looked nothing like the final product and the seller should be ashamed for playing you like that. You are a honest seller and that's what makes trading and buying more enjoyable. I hate people who need to lie in order to sell something.

Have you contacted the seller yet? If his reputation is that good, I'm sure he'd like to follow up with you.

I had a similar experience with that guy. I would not trust him in the future. I bought a distributer from him and he claims it came from his integra, when I installed it, it didn't work. After testing it, it was bad. I opened it up and the wires on the inside were not even connected. Even after connecting them up, still didn't work. When I told him about this, he basically said to bad.

dude i feel really bad for you, i definately think some of these parts are not re-usable .. like the lip and the bumper ... if i paid 2100.00 i want everything in "decent" cond. it doesnt matter if its messed up from japan or whatever. they should send you the conversion thats in good cond. i would talk to Brian Wong .. about getting u new parts that would work out better for you, like a new bumper and the missing side marker etc.. i hope everything works out for you man.

PS. i think you made a right decision posting it on here.

I've met Brad and he has no reason to make things look bad for Brian Wong. Brad was so stocked to get his JDM front end and put it on his car this week. I doubt the last thing he wanted was to waste his time putting on the front end and deal with this mess. (He hasn't driven his car since about a month ago!!).

I've also bought one thing from Brian previously. I didn't have any problem.

I hope this issue can be resolved quickly. Sorry for all the trouble, Brad.

See if he will stand by his product and buy back the front bumper and lip.

Unfortunately, you're about to find out what kind of person Brian Wong is. Noone ever listens to me, but I'll almost guarantee that he says "tough luck"... if he even returns your messages at all.

My last dealing with him he kept my money, the returned, partially usable part, AND a claim with the shipping company. He made out three times and walked away.

IMO, these parts are in no way acceptable. Unfortunately, he rarely has pictures, and even more rarely of the actual part. I would demand a replacement.

Damn Brad. I hate that. Did you take the car to Roger and Tim like i told you to? Those guys can make anything work, and they always make the best outta any job.

Give me a call sometime today and let me know whats up. Hopefully this can get straightened out asap.

Also* gotta give big ups to Jeff S. Great seller and someone who should be listened to. Good guy

do not give the body shop $700 to "make it work." Although some stuff looks pretty bad, I'm sure a finished product you are pleased with is possible. The bumper blemishes on the bottom will be covered by the lip. You don't need to have every bolt fastened when putting on the lip. I agree that he misrepresented the front end, but it's not a completely loss by any means. Ask for enough money from Brian to buy a new bumper, I think that's all your really need consdidering a big chunk of it is missing and can't be fixed. He probably won't give you money back, but I'm sure with all the parts that guy sells he can get his hands on a decent lookin front bumper. Good luck.
