Here is the story...it is a sad lonely and expensive journey through my past 10 months whith HID's
First of all I purchased a HID set from http://www.misterjung.com for about $419 and was almost scammed. It took about 3 months to get a complete working set into my car.
I was very happy with them and then one of my headlight seals decided to break and I had condensation inside my drivers side light. This gave me the great idea to do the Audi A6 Projector conversion for my teg.
I sold my HID kit to a fellow member for $275 and a carbofiber wire cover and bought the A6 kit on ebay. Tried to make it work but failed so I was stuck with a whole kit that would not fit into my headlights and out $375 plus about $50 in materials and 9006 halogen bulbs (used for the fit rings).
After breaking one of the Audi bulbs I decided to buy a new bulb on ebay for $39 shipped and tonight i found out that the bulb is too large to fit inside the housing. However I found this out after I took my dremel to the bulb and made it un-returnable.
So at this point I have spent $608 and all I have is a set of Audi A6 Hella ballasts and two HID bulbs that will not fit into my headlights. What would you do in this situation?
Here are my choices:
1. Buy a kit from http://www.xenondepot.com for $500 and forget all about my previous follies (that is if they can still sell them)
2. Buy two rebaised bulbs from http://www.xenondepot.com for $270and fit them into my car using the balast I currently have.
3. Give up on everything and try to sell my butchered A6 ballasts on ebay for $100 or something.
What would you do and does anyone else have any ideas???
Clifnotes: Spent $608 so far and have nothing to show for it...have three choices to fix the problem and have to pick one.

You can always convert the D2R bulb into a D2S one. It's easy.

i don't mean to jack this thread, but i have a small dilemma of my own and probably has a simple answer.
i'm thinking about selling my integra and buying a lincoln ls. the integra has projector headlights (D2S) and the lincoln has reflector (D2R). both cars use 9006, and i already have a HID system with D2S bulbs.
question: what exactly would it look like with the D2S HIDs in the lincoln? would it terrible? is it really worth the 175 to buy a set of D2R bulbs?
sorry for the small hijack...

Beam pattern will suck and you'll blind oncoming traffic.
You know the LS's are coming w/ HID now.
But what has made you decide to go from a Honda to a Ford?
