Default question about cam

ok, i just got some head work done, and i am putting it back into my car...i put my valves back in, along with the lost motion assembly. The timing belt is still off though. Should i be able to turn my cam with my hand?

Yeah the cam sprocket/gear should turn rather easy with your hand.

any ideas why it wont...all the head bolts are torqued to specs, and everything appears to be in right.

it is the stock cam...the motion assembly bolts are torqued to 16lbs and everything appears to be aligned correctly. It is DAMN hard to turn it with my hand.

It should be alittle bit hard to turn.. make sure when you installed the cam you put in on TDC with the crank. You can try to get the special tool to turn the cam or just get a socket to fit the bolt.
