intake manifold?
What is the saucer like object on intake manifold on the driver's side? Also there is a vacuum hose hooked up to it, but I found mine dangling and unhooked, and I was wondering where it attaches to? Thanks for the help.
the vacum line goes to the port coming off your "saucer thing" - diaphraham. it is for your intake butterflies. hook it up and you will have more bottom end power.

what? If you have an aftermarket intake Manifold you shouldn't have that. Unless there is an aftermarket manifold with butterflies???

I thought he was talking about the hose which runs from the intake manifold to the resonator box? He says saucer thing - I know there's one valve on each end. Guess I'm lost.
If that saucer on the driver's side of the intake manifold is capped off - i.e. it doesn't run to the resonator box (because there is no resonator box), what happens?

I'm not 100% what your asking here. Is the thing that you are referring to the thing that is being pointed to in this pic I stole from another thread here.
Is that the saucer thing your talking about?? Sorry it's kidna hard to see in that pic.

Ah, i'm not sure what i was talking about - or what he was asking. Guess he won't clarify it, oh well.
I'll ask a question then. There is a valve on the resonator box of the air intake with a vacuum hose which runs to the intake manifold (maybe the throttle body actually).
So when the resonator box is pulled, and that valve is removed - I fished that vacuum hose back to the manifold (or TB) and capped it off. Question is - should I leave it open. I assumed it was vacuum, so cap it.
