i recently recieved my greddy 1 piece 4-2-1 stainless header and i was wondering if it is supposed to have a hole for an o2 sensor or is that just the cat that has the bung? btw i have a 96 gsr (obd2)

 

Your supposed to have both. You can have one made for probably 10 bucks.

are you sure about that, because i've gotten some emails telling me the opposite about headers made for a gsr...

 

For 94-99 GSRs, there should be no bung in the header.

Did it change for 2000? I had a 2000 with a bung in the header, sorry, shouldnt have assumed they were the same.

Yep, it changed in 2000.

GSR:
94-95 ONE bung in the cat only.
96-99 TWO bungs in the cat only.
00-01 ONE bung in the cat, ONE in the header.

Wow, my 97 LS has a bung on the downpipe...

 

94-01 LS/GS/RS and 97-01 ITRs are the same as 00-01 GSRs...one bung right before the collector, one on the cat.
