Default G-Force Torso Belt and Schroth Harnessbelts

I just go in my G-Force Torso belt, and I was wondering if anyone has used these and how the like them. I should've asked this before I ordered it, but I was wanting to buy something.

Also, has anyone used Schroth street legal harnessbelts? They sent me a little brochure with my order, and they look pretty cool. They go onto your stock mounting points with your stock seats. Looks like they'll be very effective, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

I've got a Schroth Rallye 3 in my car and like it fine. Comfortable, holds well. Street legal or not I don't wear it for street driving though.

I have a Schroth 4 pt in my R for autocross and I love it - never use a harness on the street without rollover protection.

So imagine this. You strap yourself in snug for a nice run to the grocery store. Five minutes into it, you pass an intersection, and only then do you see the 18 wheeler headed straight for your driver side door. You swerve, and you think, I gotta get this baby back on the road. You do so, but you overcorrect, and drop both tires off the side of the road. Your car begins to slide, and soon enough, you find yourself going not where you wheels are facing. You put both feet in but its already too late...and this is the result:

Due to your wonderful harnesses, instead of being able to slide your body to try to dodge the ominous roof over your head that was about to get 2 feet too close, you're stuck in an upright position. The roof collapses, and your spine compresses. You (a) will never be able to move again, or (b) you die. I'm not sure which is worse. Drive safely.

i have a basic torso strap. Works well for autocrossing. These aren't allowed by the SCCA in open-topped or even T-top cars where your head is the highest thing.

I strapped mine on just for fun yesterday. I put it around my waist, below my regualr lap belt, and it didn't seem like it did much. Did I put it in the right place?

HA a street legal harness that's about as funny as a legal illegal drug.
But to answer your question about the schroth harness. I have the "tail" one which connects to the c pillar of your car. The belt is attached via stock bolts in the c-pillar, bolts for stock seat belt, and connector.

No. It goes around your torso, toward the top. I am used to mine just below my armpits.

I have used mine when autoxing my street CRX. I helps keep me tightly held to the seat.

Has anyone tried the "CG Lock" yet? Looks like a good option for auto-xing.
