Default need help on replacing heater inlet and outlet port on firewall

i was taking off the rear engine mount brace to put in my energy suspension bushing. the triangular brace wouldn't come off no matter what angle i tilted the engine. in order for me to get the brace off, i would have to remove the heater hoses on top of the outlet port. the stubborn *** hose wouldn't come off because of it's age. so, i tried to twist it off with pliers. squeezing it too hard crimped the outlet. i can't get the base of the port to it's original size.

so, how can i remove these ports or any suggestions to straighten it back out?
thanks in advance.

You will never get them to straighten out my friend !!! That's a fact !!!

What you have done is pretty much broken your Heater Core !!!

You'll have to replace it, costs at least $400.00 plus the NEW Heater Core add $200.00 to that, unless you do it your self !!!

You have to remove the Front Seats, Dash, Center console, Steering Wheel, Steering Wheel Mount, Glove Box, Heater Duct, Evaporator if you have A/C of course + disconnnect all the Wiring Harness by the Fuse BOX and dismount or disengage your SRS system. Then after removing this CRAP you have to remove the Heater unit and disconnect and remove the Heater Core and replace with new one. This should take you about 8hrs by yourself w/o any help. Not to mention all the crawling upsidedown to disconnect the harness + ground wires !!!

That's the FACTS of this poor little Heater core problem. How do I know ???

Well it happened to me, my friend tried to help me disconnect the Heater Hoses an guess what he crimpped one of the lines, and I leaked Antifreeze inside the car and had to replace the carpet !!! I even tried to round it back out but it still leaked.

So I replaced it took me about 8hrs. It was not FUN removing the Damn Stereo and other bunch of alarm sh** and the SRS crap !!!

But I was not about to pay $600.00 to replace it by a dealer. My cost FREE !!!

good luck, the heater core is the hardest thing to get to. everything like the dash, dash panels are built around the heater core, so it will be very hard to get to. i recomend you jus take it to a mechnic and save yourself a lot of time trying to get to the heater core. you might even save yourself from breaking something on the way there and buying a part for that. heater core is the worse thing to get to.

damn it, well, i just straightened out the port to just about match up to how it was originally. all i did was tried to push the top piece of the base of the port up with a set of needle nose pliers. after that, sawed the end of a cue stick to match up to the port. hammered that bad boy in to straighten it out and pulled the cue stick end out. do you think i'll have any problems after doing this? now, i'm fucken worried. thanks for the advice though.

Come on can I explain it in different ways ??? No it will not be OKAY

Since that piece of your car is taking water constantly at 25PSI which is at 200 Degrees Farenheit well you do the math on the expansion between RUBBER hose and COPPER HEATER OUTLETS !!!

The clamp(s) can only hold a perfect circle and any creaces or samll indentations on the pipe(s) will allow water to leak !!! Trust me I thought I had it perfect my first try when I rounded it back I even put (2) clamps !!!. Once the water temp. increased the hose and those small tiny imperfections/creaveces on the inlet caused to still leak.

So remember it is impossible to fix this manually unless you can go to a professional plumber or a heat/air automotive shop to redo your Heater Core outlets but they do not guarantee it unless they change the core out for the car !!!

Trust on what I'm talking about I had to research this before I knew what I was getting into. Do it yourself with a buddy it I'll take you about 5hrs.
