Idle Issues (did a search :( )
I did alot of searching on this forum and others. I have an idling issue. I am confused on what to do next. When I start the car, it idles fine. When it gets to the operating temp. (fan comes on) it idles up/down a couple of times and stop. Then when I take it up the street and start slowing down (even at complete stops), its like it gets stuck at 3-4000 rpms. I have to hit the gas a couple of times to try to get it down. I tried adjusting the idle screw, unplugging the eacv, etc. Maybe I am doing that part wrong though. I am a female so please help me!!!
1. I let the car get to operating temp
2. then I unplug the eacv (with the car on) and it idles at about 5-600 rpms up&down
what do I do at this point????

At this point set the idle, to whatever your engine specs are, the eascv is to help maintain idle speed under load but you need the baseline idle adjusted first. E.G. 750-800 rpm for the DOHC ZC, 650 seem a bit low. THere should be a screw on the throttle body, What engine do you have, that way someone can give you a more specific and direct answer.
Sorry just reread, sounds like you may have a bad EACV, if it doesn't do it when unplugged if it does make sure your throttle is not binding, and maybe the Throttle body is gummed up making it sticky, you should be able to feel it working it by hand with motor off. If its sticky clean it. Some cars are more prone to that than others, gas pedal should move smoothly no binding or sticking, if it does you need to find why.

I try that but which way should I turn it?? Only thing I get when turning it is it gets faster, but it still idles up&down. Will turning it counter clockwise slow it down and clockwise speed it up?
clockwise slows it down counter-clockwise speeds it up, but I think you have a throttle cable binding up on you, or a sticky throttle body. check all your vacume lines too for deterioration cracks leaks etc. It may be a combination of multiple things. Just take things one thing at a time. be methodicle and its not hard to figure out the cause.
So should I drive it with it unplugged and see if it does it? I will probably clean the throttle body out tomorrow. Also I read somewhere that you can take the EACV off an clean it. Is this true?
yes, you probibly have a lot of crud in in from the valve cover ventilation. clean them both out well make sure it workes smothly and cable is not linked or binding also. Let us kow how it turns out.

I am replying because I fixed my problem. Well part of it; this is for others to try also.
My car stopped idling crazy. I burped (bled) my cooling system (radiator) and it instantly stopped the up/down idling. Then I sprayed PB Blaster on my throttle cable springs and it seems to be working ok. I also cleaned the throttle body out.
