depends. If you want a quality paint job it's going to be expensive. Especially if you want to change colors (which I would no recommend unless you have a shell) because jambs are hard to do and then engine bay is a bitch to repaint because you have to take everything out of it. Prep work is going to be the most expensive part of the job, so if you can get the car masked up for them that will probobally help you get it less expensive. I know that most shops will redo all of your sanding and whatnot to guarantee that their paint job comes out correctly. Id expect to pay anywhere from 2-3k for a full quality color change (not an early schreib or maaco paint job).

 

Yea around 3k is about the price for a nice paintjob. I got a quote for about 3k for my hatch. It came up about 3300 since I have some spots of rust. Also it's cheaper to have them paint the engine bay while the engine is in there. I dunno how they do it but I saw the final product and it looks extremely nice!

 

Full color change is no less thant 2k usually, for a good paint job your gonna pay anywhere from $1k - $5k+

 

im not changing colors its just that the old black color is really faded

 

anyone know how much paint is needed? for isntance buying paints and then giving to a paintshop to use to cut cost a little? (not neccisarily true but thought i'd like to ask)
