jdm b18c engine, and rmp not smooth?
i just swaped the jdm b18c into my delsol, but i am having little problem with that...
when the car is idel, the rpm is around 1100, but when my friend's type R is only around 800...
also when i step on the gas (1st gear), the rpm doesn't go up smoothly...
but it runs fine after 2500+ rmp (2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, and 5th gear)

when i changed to synthetic oil my idle rpm was smoothed dramatically, i would suggest changing the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, it will probibly fix it.
what ecu are you running?
what ecu are you running?
the ecu come with the engine, jdm b18c R spec
it was werid that the engine runs okay before i filled up the gas tank today
after i filled up the gas today and then i went to highway and drive for a while, then the rmp dun go up smoothly...
change the spark plug might be a good idea, since i am using the old plugs that come with the engine...
and the distributor cap was from my b16a engine, coz the jdm engine is different from my usdm car and i had to swtich that over

you realize you need to use 93 octane right?
you should probibly change the fuel filter, if it is really dirty it will hinder gass from reaching the injectors...
edit: hold on, what year/model car is it and what year engine did you swap in?... you shouldnt have had to change the distributor.
i have a 97 b18c-r as well.

i did fill up with 94 octane....
and the model of car is 96 delsol, the engine is year 2000...
today the tyep r ecu is dead, and then i plug in the b16a ecu
but it burn an other ecu too...
looks like some serious problem occured...
