is it HP gain possible on a 2k2 civic?
there's a 2k2 civic sedan from where i live that dynoed 98hp stock(stock sohc). it was then turbocharged with what looks like a td04(coz of its size) but someone told me it was a t3 ball-bearing turbo. the manifold is a equal-length tubular design. fuel management involves an extra 1000cc injectors and a greddy rebic controlling it. it is sporting a 17" CE28 with a semi slick tires(don't know if it help in the dyno).
now, the shop who dyno tune it claimed it produce 210WHP. is that possible? i'm doubting it but i could be wrong. it would've been more possible if it's using a standalone. what do you guys think?

anybody care to explain why is it possible? with only 7psi on 98hp stock motor sohc. i'm not looking down on sohc engines, i'm just wondering how can he end up with 210whp while i end up with only 175whp on my B16 boosting 7psi also tuned by the same tuning shop who did his dyno tuning. i'm using a T28 nissan turbo and vafc hack while he's using a T3(don't look like one) ball bearing and one 1000cc extra injectors with greddy rebic.

You have something seriously wrong with your setup/motor/tuning.

I concur. Your setup is seriously messed up. PSI is not a good way to measure output anyways. 10psi on a t3 is going to be different than 10 psi on a sc61

Yep It is completly possible at about or 10 psi.
Tony1 did a civic but i can't seem to find it when I searched. He made like 198/170lbs @ 8psi.

so you guys are saying that 210hp for the 2k2 civic is MORE possible with 9-10psi than with 7psi, is that correct?
the only thing i can think of with my setup is the god-damn turbo coz my car was also dyno tuned by the same company who did the tuning of the 210hp 2k2 civic unless they didn't do a good job on my car.

That's my car at 8psi. T03/04b turbo, one additional 460 injector controlled by a Haltech F5, still completely stock motor/drivetrain except for ACT clutch.

The output of the D17 doesn't supprise me, well maybe a little considering it's only 7psi, but the lack of power from your motor is what I find really supprising @ 7psi.

the tuner who tuned my car and the 2k2 civic is the same and he said that my turbo is the culprit coz it's only a T-28 Nissan turbo. he said i would see more if i switch to a T-3 or a T3/T4.
i know a T-3 or T3/T4 would kick *** but i have no budget for that now. is the T-28 nissan turbo a piece of **** turbo for a B16? was my T-28 really the culprit for my embarrassing 175hp on a B16 or was it the tuner's fault?
sometimes i feel that if i let them do the install and tuning i would see more hp than installing it myself or from other shops and just letting them tune it....hope it's just my imagination.

the t28 doesnt max out at 175whp man. sorry to say but your car sounds messed up. thats like a 20-25hp gain from stock, which is pathetic (no offense to you) check your plugs, do a compression test, do a leakdown test then take it from there

Exaclty..don't worry about that simple stuff that can save your motor if something is going wrong..just up the boost.
