How to patch a gas tank? drilled a hole through the chassi...
ok im installing my stereo, as i drill a hole for my custom sub box built just for the area where the lockbox usually is(this is a 1G CRX(86)), i pull the drill out and smell fumes, the hole is about 1/8" big and i need to patch it!!!!! i was really lucky no sparks flew while i was drilling or i wouldnt be posting this right now.
so i need to know, how do i quickly and safely patch a 1/8" hole in my gas tank?
Thanks,
Doug.

Just buy a new gas tank. I would not mess around with something like that. And if you try to loosin the bolts and some are stuck, do not use a torch.
To be good and safe put the car on a lift and remove the gas tank, patch with some liquid cement and reinstall unless youre really picky then youll have to get a whole new tank
eh i just hot glued it shut, im swapping heads to fuel injected this weekend that means i have to swap gas tanks too, i smelled no fumes after i hot glued it shut.

exactly. They'll just braze on a penny and you're good to go!
