Does anyone know what would cause my reverse lights to stay on all the time? It's done it sicne I bought the car but I just took the bulbs out but now it's time to have my car inspected and have to get it fixed.

 

There is a switch on the top of the transmission that has probably failed in the closed position. Wait i assume its a 5 speed!! these are the only two wires going into the tranmission.

 

yeah my reverse lights don't work on my Y8 crx! i'm gonna check that sensor too, thanks!

 

Yeah it is a 5 speed. So I need to replace that switch? Can I get a new one at a autoparts store or do I have to go to the dealer?
