It's a long shot. but signup and express what law has troubled you and SEMA will work hard to lobby it, they have tried in the past, and will continue in the future.

the damn emmisions law is what troubles me - I need to pass emmisions on a <2L engine, but a 1960 dump truck etc. can blow soot into the air

 

yeah any deisel or anything over a weight limit for testing is exempt here... they say the massive clouds of black are not bad for the earth or us but a cars puff of steam is killing us.

BTW visual inspections dont hold water around here (only visual they do is to check for a cat. if you fail), hopefully ca will get the stick out of its *** about it.

 

Tailpipe sniff = good
Visual inspection = bad

I wish they sniffed here...there are too many nasty cars on the road, kinda makes you sick.
