Default Took my car to tha strip with new motor.

Ok when i first got my 91 hatch it came with a TBI 4-speed, It ran a 12.04 in tha 1/8 th mile. Then swapped to mpfi and ran a 11.60. Now tha car has 1.5 block with a 98 VTEC head (Y8) and 5-speed tranny. My best time was a 10.60 with a slippin clucth and tha VTEC is disconnected. I want to know if thats a good number to run in a full interior 91 hatch with a 1.5 mini me swap. My friend and I did all tha work to tha car. I was pretty happy with tha cars performance this is my first Honda so im learning a lot.

I also weighd tha car today It weighed 2400 pounds with 1/2 tank and me in tha car.

with no VTEC, a SOHC VTEC is like 80 hp. and it totally dies making no horsepower above 5,000.

the very first time i ever raced on a track,i had d16z6, i/h/e, stripped hatch area. the car weighed 2180lbs without driver, i weigh around 180lbs. I ran a 10.303@70.31. 2.6 60' (1/8). over the course of two hours and about 10 runs, i managed to get it down to 10.013@70.42mph 2.4 60'.

BTW, dont listen to alot of people on here, they like to exaggerate their track times greatly.

For future reference, I believe the word you are looking for is "the" not "tha". Have a great day!

Yes i have a DX 5-speed. I was told that tha SI tranny would work better but hey i bought tha DX tranny for 50$ cant beat that with a stick.

I know i shouldnt have ran my car cuz tha motor wasnt done but I just couldnt help it.

I have a question also. I have access to a pr3 ecu, my friend said i can have it if i need it. Would this ecu work. Can i hook up my vtec to that ecu.

if u kept the car obd0 and didnt convert it to obd 1 then u can use the pr3 ecu because its obd0. my friend did that in his 5th gen z6, using a p30 adn the car surged, so idk if youll get the same problem. but vtec will work

mini me.. sweet
did you remember to remove the oil jet plug?
you can still run vtec, you jst need an activator. I used a shift light to tell my vtec when to engage. works like a charm. yeah, $50 makes it worth it, but if you can get your hands on an si/ex tranny, its def. worth it.
