Why does my speedo needle jump up and down sometimes for no reason? Any one else have this happen to them? Thanx

speed sensor relay... it's like $80

 

Relay? Ehat the hell is that. If the speedo jumps around at a stop (typical for 92-95 civics) then you need a speedometer. If you want to double check do this: use your cruise control- when the needle jumps around and your cruise is working fine- you know for sure it is the speedometer. If your cruise acts crazy then I would suspect the speed sensor.

 

Speed sensor...ive seen that on my friends.

Usually at WOT right? and sometimes while driving normal?

it happen to me... its the vss sensor... "vehicle speed sensor" unless ur speedo's screwed but i doubt it
