rev matching
Just blip it. You'll get used to how much you need to blip with a little practice. Make sure that you blip though. Don't hold down the throttle and jam it in gear. This is a beginner mistake that I made when I was first learning. If you blip, and hold the gearlever against the gate for the lower gear, it should slip in when the time is right.

I would suggest that you go buy Best MOTORing International Vol 1. video and watch the footwork to _see_ the process being done. It really helps to see the visual and then practice. The steps are:
1. Clutch in
2. Blip the throttle to desired rpm. (must be quick)
3. Down shift to desired gear
4. Clutch in.
You can practice while the car is parked in the garage. Just keep practicing and you'll get it down in no time. Oh, at first, if you want to rev match before going into a turn, be sure to do so way in advance before the turn. It's no fun not in gear when going through a turn.
