Default LS oilpan = same as itr oil pan?

Will the itr oil pan fit an LS?

I have an ls motor that needs an oilpan, and am thinking of upgrading my stock itr oil pan for a baffled one. If I can use my old itr oilpan on the LS, that would be great.

i don't know if the ITR will work on the LS, but I know the b16 oil pan that I have should fit. I was told that the B16 and LS can share, and the GSR and ITR can share. If you want to verify the info and buy mine, let me know. I'm only 3 hours from you.

Ken,

The oil pans will interchange, The oil pump pick up and windage tray will not.

uh....i'd stick with the stock LS oilpan...just cuz it's an ITR oil pan doesn't mean it's meant for use with an LS block

If i remember correctly...

itr fits on the ls.

the ls doesn't fit on the itr.

Ls oil pans are more shallow, and doesn't clear gsr/itr windage tray/oil pickup.

The oil pans are interchangable, Same size, same capacity. The VTEC and NON VTEC oil pump pickups and windage trays are the only difference.

Yes, this is correct. If you change the pan, you should change the pickup as well if you are switching between different motors. Some pickups are different lengths than others.

P72 pan will fit on all

I think thats true....but doesn't a b16 work for the b18c5 oil pan??

Maybe the ls pan is different because of lack of vtec...
