Default Stripping tint off the rear window

Anyone have any suggestions for taking off the rear tint, besides the amonia trick.
Cause that smells soooooo bad.
I just dont want to strip off the defroster lines.

do u want the tint off, or just the glue? just pull the tint, or use some goo gone or lighter fluid to take the glue off, maybe try some heat applied to the outside of the window?

Go to a respected local tint shop (one that is dealer recommended) and have them remove it for you.

its so easy to remove. I just heated it with a blow dry and peeled as much as I could and picked away the edges and make it unsticky with a bottle of goo gone, cost me 3.29 for what Im sure a tint place would charge 50+

edit: 5 bucks per square inch of each window

Heat up the corners of where the tint is with a hair dryer and get a good size peel going. Then as you peel more, keep heating it from the other side of the window.

What's great about living in arizona is you just leave your car outside in august and then just peel away. Simple as can be

I took my ugly purple tint off my windows before, I just used a knife to get a corner going and then it will all come off at once or in smaller pieces but the glue is the pain in the ***. As someone already said goo be gone works. I asked a tint shop and they said any good quality cleaner will work then just use some glass cleaner to make sure the glue is totally off. They wanted to charge me 20 a window and I was like "nope". and I have been told that at Walmart you can get this metal glue stuff that you can put over a break in the heater lines incase you smoke one and that fixes them.

either way, good luck.

well, stripping the film is easy, heat gun/ blow dryer works.

Getting the glue off you can use brake disk cleaner (this is what i used when i was lazy to go buy a bottle of goo gone.. goof off... or whatever they are called)
