Default NEED ideas on how to remove axle

Drivers side axle is stuck in the hub/disc. Tried a lot of WD-40 and hammering, but the end is starting to mushroom. Couldnt fit anything inbetween to pry it out. Is there another way to get the damn thing out?

Is the assembly still on the car? Take the spindle & axle off the car and onto a solid table and rig up some sort of stand to hold the spindle and hang the axle downwards. Then get a BFH and whack it like a man, with a brass punch in between the hammer and hammee.....

Ill try that, but my concern is that it might mushroom so much I cant put the nut back on. Axle is still good, just changed the clutch and didnt like the idea that it doesnt want to come out.

I had the exact trouble as you when I changed out my clutch. I got this stuff from wal-mart called B'LASTER or PB or something, kind of hard to tell. It is in a white and black and red and yellow can with a yellow lid and looks like something out of mad magazine with tons of writing all over it. It looked suspicious at first, but it worked great. I sprayed it on there liberally and let it sit about thirty minutes, then just tapped the axles out. Mine were kind of rusted in there. I would highly recommend giving this stuff a try.

edit: WD-40 didn't do squat for me either BTW.
