Zeal B6 photos (3mb)
About three months ago, I order JIC flt2's from my friends shop through his distributor. Not exactly sure what happened but the distributor and JIC had a falling out. As a substitute, they asked me if I wanted the Zeal b6 for the same price. After waiting so long, I said sure. They arrived last weekend installed them on Saturday and had them at Gingerman by Sunday.
Driving impressions. The rates they came with were 10/6. It was hard to get the back to rotate at all. I believe with either a thicker swaybar and/or higher rear rates they will rotate nice. What Chris N and I noticed is the car corners very flat. To me, it feels very comfortable.
The dampening is pretty street friendly when set at 1 all the way around. You can tell its aftermarket suspension but its not exactly bone-jarring. On track, I messed a little with it but couldn't get it dialed in because it was new to me and didn't really know how to set it up. I drove most of the day at 5/6. The season here is pretty much over. In the spring I'm going to try a higher spring rate.
Nonetheless, here are some photos.

Before anyone mentions it, my plate address and where I live are completely different. So come get it.

No. I don't feel I have anything to worry about. And I won't start to. If I was paranoid enough that it was going to get stolen because a photo on honda-tech, I'd sell it. I don't live in fear. ...and I don't live in Palatine.
Looks good, hopefully you get to fool around w/the settings and spring rates next year. I imagine swapping the f/r springs would induce crazy oversteer, yipee.
i dont know if the rears are valved enough for you to put anything over 8k. but dont quote me. i think if you were looking to put really heavy springs in the rear you should maybe call zeal and see what they say about the revalving.
how much did your car drop with the springs right out of the box with the manuf. settings?

Looks good Scott! You were going pretty fast on Sunday too, except for the laps that you spun out.
Instead of buying new springs, you can consider the Mugen rear sway bar. I think it would work well on your setup. Or you can buy my 12K springs.

You can get my other ones, which are 18K linear.

definitely wasn't considering 18K.... thus my 'holy krap' to Wai for trying to make me crazy like him.
Chris - still daily driving his R.

I will have to concur the 10/6 B6 setup is hard to get to rotate. I have also foudn that the front shocks don't behave well on any setting other than 3. Too soft or too stiff and they just scrub the tires in turns. I ended up putting 8k springs on the rear. They are much better.

i got a set of b6's but dont know what spring rate im running, wish the guy i got them from knew or there was a way to tell from teh spring... im looking for a 10k/8k setup since i had zeal springs on my spoons and they rode like a dream. my setup now feels like 14k and 12k. but great dampers, cant wait to hit the track.
