Default LHT Performance intercooled M62 JRSC on a B18B running 8 psi question(s).

http://www.lhtperformance.net
^ thats the link to the intercooler system for the jrsc. im planning on running a gsr jrsc on my ls, using the crv pulley (8psi), and intercooling my jrsc through lht. what i need to know is what else i should get with what ive listed, fuel management mainly. im thinking of getting either a walbro or jr fuel pump and jr fpr (jr, because they have a warranty and it looks like a good price). im also considering getting an boost timing controller, and af and boost gauges. do you think larger injectors are necessary? my ls is mainly daily driven btw. ive already considered going turbo, but i decided it was too much of a hassle trying to piece together a kit and it wouldnt fit my needs as much as a jrsc would. please dont tell me to sell my ls and get a gsr; as much as i would like to **** out $20 bills, it just aint going to happen with my budget. hope you techno-geniuses can help me out on this one .

now is that an educated answer or a bandwagon answer? i dont like to cut corners, but my tight budget looks like some corner is going to have to be sanded down.

Running 8psi you'll be on the edge of what your fuel pump, and injectors are truly capable of doing. I recommend going with some sort of FI method that allows you to change the injector pulsewidths, rather than just bump up the fuel pressure.

Like the guy above said, Hondata is good, but costly. Have you looked into the Uberdata setup?

run a search and you'll find more info on it.

what about a rising rate fpr? isnt the jr fpr a rising rate fpr? so are you saying that i should get something like a walbro 190lph pump? what size injectors would you recommend with my setup? how am i supposed to use uberdata? do i need a laptop? heck id pay someone to do all the labor of tuning with uberdata.

if you dont want to spend the money on hondata and you dont have the knowledge to use uberdata, consider a hack like the VAFC or SMC along with bigger injectors. whatever you do, DONT depend on high fuel pressure and a rising rate FPR. you'll kick yourself later....

im thinking about stock injectors with a 255 walbro pump paired with the jr fpr. honestly, yes... i am poor and stupid . could you point me towards some of the smcs that you know of?

its the most cost effective in my opinion. plan on $120 for the smc, $80 for some DSM injectors (450cc), and about $100 or so in dyno tuning with a wideband (depending on the shops in your area). i went this route and i'm satisfied with the performance per dollar ratio

the JR map controller has nothing to do with being able to tune your fuel delivery, it just prevents tip-in detonation caused by the FMU. also what do you mean by "rickety"? if you're talking about reliability, i wouldnt be looking at FMU's....especially the one that JR provides. i've had excellent luck with my smc as well as many other people on this and other boards.

You find the answers to your questions yet? I'd figure with this cross-posted all over the land you'd figure it out...

Also, I must be pretty stupid to run my LS with stock injectors at 9PSI for a few years. AND - I'm pulling fuel OUT!

Keep in mind - you're getting GSR feedback here - the LS behaves differently, you simply don't make enough HP.
