Default stroked b16b reliability

Ok, I am new here but I have read alot of posts over the past few months and you guys really know your stuff. So here is my deal. I have a 97ek coupe and I have a b16b swap. For extras I have a:
aem v2
jun 4-1 header
9lb flywheel
exedy clutch
driveshaftshop stage 1 axles
high flow cat
tanabe srm

I saved up and did everything all at once, bang in the car. Now I have a base to build off of. I just bought an ITR crank, got a good deal, becuase I want to stroke the ctr block to a 1.8 with the itr crank and itr/gsr rods. This decreases my rod/stroke ratio. My dillemma is that I also want to rev up to 9500rpm or higher. Some killer cams, and a valvetrain. If I stroke the motor to a 1.8 and use some eagle rods, am I going to be able to rev up to 9500 reliably. Do I need to sleeve, would a block gaurd work ok. Any help or experience would be cool.

you don't relly need aftermarket rods, you will want ARP rod bolts. Don't use a block guard, and yes, you can rev to 9.5k though.. you may not need to...

what he said might not have to rev that high depending on the cams you run

a ctr block is just a itr block destroked take the ctr pistons and put them on the rods and hehe that thing will rip! and having arp rod bolts will help the rods from stretching just incase you intend to beat on this thing (I would )

have fun
