Default Alternator problem?

I'm thinking that maybe my alternator is about to take a ****. Here's the deal.

I don't know if this is related, but a few nights ago we had a massive rainstorm, and maybe some water got on the belts or in the alternator. That night, whenever I'd turn on my headlights, my alternator would start making noise (sort of a constant noise, not like a squeal, but sounds like somethign internal is rubbing) and it would stop as soon as I turn the headlights off. So does this mean my alt is going bad? It's the one that came with my JDM B16A. It's always made a few funny squeaks when my motor is cold or when I turn the headlights on, but this new noise is constant, and it has me worried.
