I think I have a bad alternator. First off, when I turn on my car, I hear screetching noise that gets louder if i hit the throttle. The screetching noise usually stops after 30 seconds. If I accelerate fast I can also hear it faintly screetching. At night when I have the headlights on at idle they are pretty dim, but get bright when I start moving. Also, if i hit the close button on my sunroof when its already closed, my headlight also get real dim. Is this definately signs of a bad alternator?

yes, that and a sign of your battery ready to run down. change the battery and alternator and it should be fine. but the screeching noise could be because the fan on the altenator is starting to get stuck, just remember, the harder you hit the gas, the faster that fan turns, and also the hotter the coils/wires get.
