Damn Japan
they get ALL the good stuff
Here is some info for you guys
VGS=Variable Gear Ratio Steering (vehicle speed application/response dynamic variable gear ratio steering wheel)
* VGS it is not something which raises the limited efficiency of the vehicle itself, the efficiency which that car has being something which is pulled out with the wide situation, it does.
Therefore, same as the vehicle which is not VGS, foreward the corner and the like sufficient deceleration is necessary, it cannot control to unreasonable driving. We request careful driving
As for S2000 typeV, from with quick, more aggressive
VGS which was developed because of sport handling * it has equipped.
As for this VGS, as the marketing car where gear ratio of the steering wheel changes according to the vehicle speed and the position of a vessel's helm of the car the worldwide beginning, individual technology of HONDA.
For example regardless of the size of the position of a vessel's helm regarding the low-speed limits as for the car to quick,
With the small position of a vessel's helm leniently, with the large position of a vessel's helm you respond to quick regarding the high-speed limits.
Because of that while estimating the line which you think that the driver would like to clear,
When the steering wheel is cut, gear ratio changes variably and traces. One bodily sensation it overflows in the driver
Steering wheel feeling is made to feel.
In addition S2000 typeV the suspension system has made the private design. The main spring, the front stabilizer, LSD of torr plug system (the non-slip differential) using the private part.
The high response it became possible with that in all speed limits to enjoy handling.
DAMN THEM bring this stuff to the USA
yup, that's the 04, but the VGS system has been out for a few years.
Several years ago, there was a group of people from s2ki that went over to Japan and got a chance to test drive the VGS car on a wet autocross prepared for them at the Twin Ring (infield I believe). It's definately a nifty invention, however... times have proven to be slower. I feel that once someone becomes experienced at driving VGS, it will be much more efficient and faster around a track or at least, safety wise can be very good for common roads.
