Damn, what a weekend! This was my first time out to Road Atlanta and I don't think there could have been a better introduction than the Petit Le Mans. The weather was great, the track is awesome, and the visibility is very nice as well. I was able to meet a few drivers who I admire quite a bit... Randy Pobst, Hans Stuck, Boris Said, and Bill Auberlen! Randy really is an awesome guy. I have read from a bunch of people how down to earth Randy is and this weekend backed that up 100%. Bill was also very nice and talked to me for a while. Unfortunately my biggest hero out of the bunch, Hans, was pretty busy and wasn't able to talk. I cant explain what I felt when I saw Hans, he is just an amazing driver.

Friday night I went to go visit a good friend that I have at Emory. I came out in the morning to find this:

Gotta love thiefs! I just want to know why they ruined my center console and didn't even take my cd player (which isn't even that great of a unit in the first place.) My nice Honda jacket (that I was wearing in the above pics) that I bought at the Rolex 24 race a few years ago was taken out of my trunk and my Sparco gloves were also taken out of the glovebox. I guess it could have been a lot worse but yea it still sucks quite a bit.

Hey Jeremy! It was Petit Le Mans weekend. They had a bunch of races earlier this week like Speed TC and GT, some Panoz stuff, Star Mazda, etc... just like 12 hrs of Sebring weekend.

 

Both car pics are REALLY good pics. I like to one of Han in the corner. Looks like you had fun. It was a very good race, and I am glad the JML got a second place finnish on their last race. I wanted to go SO bad, but I couldn't make it

 

Damn, that looks like it was pretty neat then, other than your car getting broken into. That sucks.

Any Chin events planned for the Spring?

Hunter - who had FREE tickets for the whole event... but couldn't make it

 

so that was your other EBP si that was there. I had a lot of fun this weekend. WIll have my 100+ pics up either tommorow night or next weekend depending on when I go get the plugin for my digital camera.

Picked up the rear bumpers from the #84 Is300 and one from the turner motorsports bmw that wrecked. I'm gonna start walking thru the pits from now on asking for junk.

Nope, have nothing planned right now. Im REAL busy at school and don't have the money to run any events right now either. I really want to drive Road Atl now, the elevation changes on that course are just awesome! The viewing is so good at the track (unlike Sebring!) that I think I have a pretty good idea of the layout without even driving.

 

I went too!!!! I have 200 pics... I will put a few on later. It was a great weekend, the SWC Touring race was sweet As were the STRANA trucks How about the Panoz finishing second

I know man, it's pretty goofy. The thumbs up with Randy is appropriate cause thats the kinda guy he is, but with Bill and Hans?!?

Speaking of Chin and RA, I was talking to Vince Howard at Sebring last weekend, and he said they might be getting a date at RA sometime next year. That would totally rock.

 

Yea Vince is a real nice guy. That would be awesome if they put together some events at Road Atl.

I know. I tried about 4 laps thru then tried about 5 more lap at turn 7 to get the flame. I WILL get it in the picture next year.

Good stuff Ryan. That Mazda sounded amazing. Do you have any idea what kind of motor was in there?

 

I believe that's Jim Downing's car (local guys) and it has a 4 rotor. It's exhaust should have been glowing bright orange/red at night.
