i just put in a new clutch and i need to knwo hwo to break it in. ive been going ez on it today and was told 200 miles of going ez. when i let the clutch out fast, my cel goes on. if i let it out slow, its all ok. does anyone know why? and how to break in a clutch? thanks

 

Can't imagine why the clutch would trigger the CEL, but for breaking it in, just go easy on it. Try not to slip the clutch on starts and shifts. Once it's fully engaged, though, you should be able to run the car hard with no problem. I was told by a couple people to go easy on it for the first 500 miles. It's hard, but I'm doing it. I'm at about 325 miles right now.

haha i knopw its probably the hardest thing ive done in my life lol. i have to shift so damn slow and start so weird. its sucks. but yeah it jutter and shakes and rpm's jump all over like i have an ignition timing problem. but i dont know

 

Find out what the code is first.... Kinda weird how it does that....

Put a new clutch in my car a couple weeks ago.... Looks like I blew the 500 mile thing lol
