Default Got my new motor in, but need some HELP!!

I just got my z6 in my new crx, but I can't get it to start. worse, it won't even turn over. It just clicks. I have checked my grounds, and I am getting power to the starter solenoid, and i am pretty sure it is getting to the motor too... Any ideas? I have had to do a lot of rewiring on this car, but it should still turn over as long as those two things are in place, right? Any help would be great!!!

Bump....

I'm also getting 4 codes:
6 (coolant temp)
10 (intake air temp)
13 (atmospheric press.)
20 (electric load)

Where do I even start with this?

Electronics suck! (yeah, yeah, I know, it wouldn't work without them...)

Is the starter known to be good? When mine went out it would do the same thing.

are u sure u have a full amount of power from the battery. if u read the power at the starter without a load it will read 12 volts but once u put a load on it if its a bad battery it will drop.

the battery is fully charged, i can turn the motor by hand, and the starter worked fine when the old motor was last run. I haven't tested the power at the starter. you mean that I should put a tester on the solenoid connector, test it with the car off, and then test it when I turn the key? How much power should I get if the battery is good?

The code that I'm getting that's the problem is the 20. What could be putting too much load on the car? There is an alarm on it, but as soon as the key turns, it should be deactivated, right?

thanks for your help!

I had that problem, it was my starter relay. So I just bypassed it and put in a push button switch. Try shorting out your starter (best if taken out first) .

I got some input from some friendly guys here saying that I needed to change some wiring, and that I needed to fix my tdc sensor wiring. I have done this, but am still not getting any response from the starter. Can someone please give me more detailed information on how to test the starter and the power at the starter? I appreciate it a ton!!!!

to test your starter, disconnect the relay clip on top of the stater. You'll need some wire to go from the positive post on the battery to that clip. Just touch the wire to the clip and see if it does anything; don't hold the wire on the starter for a long time. You can also take the starter to Auto Zone, and they should test it for free.

I did the test you mentioned, but still just get a click, so I pulled it and I'm going to get it tested tomorrow. Hopefully (crossing all my fingers and toes) it will start once I can get this crap straightened out! Otherwise, there will be new posts from me!

Yeah, I'd say its bad, but while you're at Auto Zone getting a new one, get it tested, cheap insurance. Or free for that matter.

The funny thing is that it worked fine before the old motor was pulled. However, it did sit around for a while, can a starter just go bad spontaneously? Seem weird to me, but whatever. Hopefully, this is a deep as the problems get! (but I know better than to hope!)

Now that I think about it, my starter went bad like that too. I pulled the engine, put everything back in, and it just wouldn't work. I thought that was strange also. I don't know why it would do that, but oh well.
