i believe the new skunk 2 exhaust is actually the rsr invidia. If so, then the exhaust is pretty loud because it's an n-1 design. It comes with a silencer. Two other reviews in this forum said that the skunk 2 exhaust was loud as hell. However, I read some reviews a while back for the actual rsr invidia and they said that it was deep and relatively quiet. Kinda confusing eh?

 

I have a Invidia RSR ss catback on my car that was for a LS. I had to have the exhaust modifyed to fit my gsr. Basically they just extended the b-pipe about 2 inches. Exhaust sounds great, very quiet until you jump on it. Actuall i think my intake might be loud'r than the exhaust. The exhaust gives off a good low tone but at idle you can even really hear it. It's well worth the money, The quitest best looking exhaust i've seen, great quality also. I love it!

 

i dont have one... but they are really nice exhausts and while i havent heard one... i heard they are loud like a tanabe without the silencer and more like a spoon n-1 with it... one of my friends sells them if anyone is interested... here are some pictures if u would like to see them... for any information email me at afonez@aol.com

 

That is not the exhaust i have. My invidia is just like the old RSR exhaust that used to be shipped to US. This exhaust above is a full race exhaust they have 2 modles. NA and Turbo

 

i know this one is not the turbo exhaust and its not a race exhaust...

 

I have had my RS*R exhaust for almost 3 years, I love it more than anything.
When living in southern california, you see many tuned import cars and I have to say that I love the way mine sounds over any car I have ever heard so far. When getting my car tuned I gained 7/10 of a horsepower by unbolting the exhaust. This is the older model though, the new ones are more like the N-1. Mine is just like systemGSR's but for some reason my piping is a larger diameter than his; it is quiet until you jump on it but it sounds real agressive when you are on the throttle. I do not know the exact diameter though, sorry. RS*R/ Invidia makes quality stuff though, my exhaust is hella old and it looks new on all the welds and the steel, everything still is in good shape.

Thats pretty nice looking. How much are one of those bad boys for a gsr coupe. Its 2.5 inch ss piping correct?

 

it looks to me like 2.5" piping... consdiering in japan they use the metric system... it may be a little bigger or smaller... im not sure... i just dont want to give a direct # but i can find out

I have sold afew of the Skunk2 version of the RSR and in my opinion they are very loud but some guys find that noise to be cool. It is louder than the Apex N1 in my opinion.

 

thanks for the info..I was more interested in the older rsr that was quiet but I guess nobody carries those anymore.

 

lol, thats what i wanted too... Took me forever to find sombody localy that had this exhaust that was in good condition. But **** i do love this exhaust. Not too loud, Not to Big, Looks sporty, and sounds clean.

I remember that some guy was selling the universal model for Turbo as well as for NA. Is he still selling them? I need the Turbo version.

yea... the one in the pic im pretty sure was for a dc... i think mark has the one for the ek
