Cheapest place in the Bay Area to get timing belt done?!
what up people...well i called the nearest Honda dealer around my place which is Livermore Honda and they want $675 to get that **** done i talked to one of my other friends and he got his done for $530 at Elk Groove Honda...does anyone know where i can get it for cheaper or if anyone knows someone...well i need to know soon. Thanks

i cant give you a place in cali, but here in austin the dealerships charge about $475, smaller shops will do it for around $400-430. All these price quotes include replacing the timing belt, water pump, and all the oil seals (crankshaft, camshaft, and in most cases, balance shaft).
...just to give you an idea of how much you should be lookin to pay...try a couple reputable, non-dealer shops and you'll probably get similar price quotes.
timing belt alone is usually around $300 if you dont do it through a dealer, but generally you'll want to replace everything once your in there cuz labor costs to replace an oil seal later on down the road are gonna be almost as much since they'll have to take the timing belt off again.

come on, i know someone on the board got there timing belt done at a dealership. how much did you guys pay?!

They do just the timing belt for $269.95
My friend went to Diamond Bar Honda and they matched this price for him. See if your dealer will do the same.
