Default Got some good times (13.377 @ 104.95mph) STOCK LONG BLOCK

Went to the track today w/ some friends, we made a ghetto air funnel from my headlight (which we removed) to my J's (no filter) and had some fun, best ET was 13.377 @ 104.95 w/ a 2.08 60' (Blad azenis from a full season of auto-x) in 93% Humid @ 930 ft. above sea level. FULL EXHAUST. Best trap of the night was 105.2mph w/ a 13.413 et.

My Mods:

99 JDM ITR Motor
99 JDM ITR Tranny (4.785 FD) w/ USDM ITR 4th gear
J's Racing Intake
DC Sports 4-1 header
Highflow cat
Custom 2.5 w/ $30 Muffler man 2.5 chambered muffler
OBD II > OBDI P28, Skunk2 Prog.
VAFC (Non-dyno tuned, just my ghettoness)
(Now From here down are things I just added, the above netted me 13.8 @ 100 previously)
CTR N1 Crank Pulley
Fidanza 8lb. Fly
Exedy Street clutch ( )
Ghetto Air Duct
19 deg. timing w/ a 100/93 fuel mix

Weight: 2450 w/o me in it (~155lbs)
I don't know if these are good times, average, low, for the setup I'm running.

Also next week is the last week they're open, so i wanna see if I can go 12s on street tires. How much will the distributer allow me in advance my timign, I'll use 115 oct. I know you can crank it to like 20-22ish but can i advance it more w/ a chip? or is there a wall somewhere? Thanks for the help.

those times seem really good.

I doubt you'll get 12's on street tires without going nuts on the gutting

Trap seems kinda high for stock cams...you went from 100 to 105 with no real power mods...

To trap 105 and lower your ET you would have to make some serious power gains and I just dont see where you made them...105trap at 25-2600lbs sounds like 205-210whp I just dont see your setup making that kind of power

ET wise I trap'd 101 when I had my motor revving to 8K (Si ECU) I probably could have trapped 102 had I been able to rev to 85-8600

For me to lower my ET and trap 5mph higher would require a set of JUN 3's on a good tune....

But I guess its possible...however highly unlikely

Thats right, Ive nearly the same mods in my ITR and I can do 13.9 ET (but on worse road (no drag strip in Poland) and 99 oct fuel).

Air temp was around 48. I can vouch for the longblock being completely stock. Stock TB stock manifold stock injectors stock cams stock everything. I couldnt believe the times he was pulling either. **** I bet him he couldnt run sub 13.4...
NOONE runs high 104 low 105 without touching the longblock in an integra that I know of. Until this foo came along
JDM motor and tranny > USDM motor and tranny.

Great times. With the basic mods you mentioned it sounds like your motor is a "freak"..
Good job.. I'd like to see what a set of cams and dyno tuning would do..

Thanks, I doubt I'll get 12s but it's something to shoot for.

I can't believe the trap myself, first run was 103 (2.2 60'), i thought that was as high as it was going to go, but the more i melted the tires as the 60' went down the trap went up. I think the timing advance and the higher octane fuel had a lot to do with it. And the air funnel put it over the top:

(That's a dryer inlet, then 6" pipe, stepped down to a 5" pipe, then slid over the J's intake arm, JDM front end headlight removed)

My RTs were ****, b/c I was concentrating on the launch, not treeing the person next to me. Best of the night was .6 but It was .8 when I ran the 13.377. R/T doesn't effect your e/t.

I believe the time , very nicely done, especially on street tires. That mph is a little too high for what you have done to your car, but hey anything is possible.

99 JDM ITR swap w/ mods. Sounds feasible.

I really want to take the car to the dyno so see what it's putting down in "race" form. I def think the ~20 deg of timing and 100/93 blend helped out the trap.

I'd REALLY REALLY like to get dyno tuned (no dynos here have widebands :wtf: ) before the season's over (~ 2 weeks) and see if I can go looower. I figure @ the track I was putting out AROUNG 190whp. Unfortunatly a dyno wouldn't give me an accurate reading of the power output at the track as the air funnel force would be hard to recreate (esp. 3 and 4th gear when i'm going 90+mph...side note: the VAFC read max pres. of +.01  ) as well as the low air temps.

I was at New York International Raceway Park ( http://www.nyirp.com )

Has anyone ever compared open header/fullexhaust on the same night at the track? How much did it lower you times? I think i'll try that next week...anyone have any other tips?
