Default 1/8 mile...poorman type r in ek

i ran 1/8 mile track here...best time of the night was a
9.5 e.t.
2.3 60ft
trap speed of 74.

i have a stock b16head on gsr block with itr pistons...itr intake manifold, aem cold air intake, custom 2.25 exhaust with carsound cat and es muffler, chipped p28, walbro 255 fuel pump, and b and m fpr set at 50psi (stock type r settings)...i am running on steelies with azenis at 15psi. my clutch was gone from the beginning of my runs. everything in a 98cx with no passenger and rear seats.

i need some suspension bad....i am using only some crappy neuspeed springs like with a .75drop

Have you dyno'ed the car yet? That is only a 15.0-14.8 in the 1/4. You could gain a little back on the launch but your traps seem a litttle low for the mods you got.

unfortunately i had to run 1/8 mile on friday night as well since it rained and they only dried that much of the track, not a big fan of running only 1/8 mile but here is what i pulled to give you an idea of where you are at:

60' time - 1.97
1/8 time - 8.38
mph - 84.35

gsr block with itr pistons, itr head, stock 3 layer hg, itr intake mani, jun type II intake cam, itr exhaust cam, dc 4-1 jdm header, thermal exhaust - engine in a '92 vx hatch running with bfgoodrich 205/50/15 g force drag radials up front with 20 psi

wow! 1.97 60ft on BFG's is incredible. Austin on here has the same tires and is only hitting 2.1's. what is your launch technique? from what rpm do you drop the clutch?

i feather the clutch out at about 4800 rpm and wait to feel the tires grab and then just drop it - these tires are amazing - i ran them for the first time wednesday night, got 3 passes in on them and ran 4 1/8 mile passes on friday night, nothing but great things to say about them

bout 2 years ago, i had a poormans setup, stock pistons, b16 head, dc 421, 2.25 exhaust and for some reason i had some 403 cams layin around so i just threw em in..whenever i hit vtec the car just bogged and went nowhere had to double clutch it(had no vtec controller at the time)...switched to smaller cams later but here was my time when i had the 403s on...
60ft:2.3
1/8th: 9.2
speed of 76
was runnin on some 13 inch mexican tire shop specials

Is that really a 15sec 1/4 mile????? Damn, then I'm not the only one.... I went to the track for the first time in 4 years with my LS/VTEC in a '95 CX everything stock on the motor down to the exhaust 1.5" (I believed) and pulled a 15.4 on slicks, I'm so depressed that I stopped working on the car....

that is some really impressive times

I cant cut that good of a sixty foot time as you but I ran 8.560 1/8 in my 98 hx with a stock internal ITR swap with p28 ecu, JUN ultra lite flywheel, injen cold air with act street and strip clutch and 50 shot of nitrous. I'm running a the nitto drags right now but want to switch over to the bfg's.

but how did you get your sixty foot so low.
