You're gonna take a "look back" at your car everytime you get out of it because you'll love it that much... At least you'll love looking at it.
But, if you spent some cash under the hood you'd have MORE fun driving it!

I say keep it stock
I love 80s styling. And can someone explain the different colored hoods? Keep it stock, it's a beautiful car.

I'll explain... I don't believe you're refering to "different" colored hoods as opposed to "Black" hoods... What you're seeing are Hoods that are fiberglass or more commonly Carbon Fiber. The basic color of a carbon fiber design is that sort of off black.
It is done for weight reduction and also aesthetics.

But carbon fiber is painable, so WTF does everyone keep it like it is? Here is the answer. THEY WANT TO SHOW OFF. Never in a million years whould I ever have an unpainted CF hood, its ugly as ****. And our hoods are already light, so it whould be one of the last mods I would EVER do.
it's not illigal to bring in SiR's into Alberta. you just can't register them as daily drivers. but i do know some people who can ship in some 88-89 si's, the one's with the glass tops. i acually know a guy who will be getting his glass top at the end of november.
alberta has some really dumb rules about cars :/

WTF is with people always whining about nonpainted cf hoods? It's not your car. And so I'm guessing that you DON'T want to show off your car? Does that mean that everything you have done is purely to make it go faster, you've never washed it, etc.?
In short, let people do what they want to without trashing their cars. Yes, it says "what ya think", but is that really necessary? The painted cf hood police here could really use a lesson in getting over themselves.

If you paint the carbon fiber hoods, you basically have the weight of a fiberglass hood..so your money was wasted. If you want the weight of a fiberglass hood- get a fiberglass hood. If you want something lighter, get carbon fiber..simple as that.
The second version is very nice...but the first is, too. No matter what you do, it'll be nice. The only complaint I have about the stock look, is that it needs to be lowered..because it's like a damn dune buggy..
