Head unit RCA Q
I just got a Alpine CDE 7858, It has out put for one RCA, I need to get the Plug in for the back, I got the CD player from My buddy who sold his car and left the Plug in, in the dash, Does the Plug in have another RCA out put. If not, How do I run my Sub amp and My Highs and Mids Amp?? is there a way to wire the amps together and Run one RCA up to the CD player!
if the Cd player puts out 45 x 4 and my Eclipse door speakers take 40 watts contous power handling, will it sound good that is a last resort if I cant hook up my Mids Amp.... Please tell me I can RCA them together...!
use either:
A> Y adaptors... you'd need two pairs, but it would convert the single output to 3 pairs. Huge lose in RCA signal strength though.
B> Get an active crossover, such as the MTX LSX2 (ok ppl throw me some others here!) They'll convert either a single set to two sets, or they also make them with 2 pairs of inputs that can be "paralleled" so you only need 1 set of inputs and will output 3 sets, split and filtered as front highs, rear highs, and subwoofer.

your cd player is not actually pumping out 45 watts continuous...its more like 18-22 watts continuous.

you would need the opposite you would need 1 female and 2 males per connector.you would need 2 of them to run 4 channels if you want to run the sub you would need another 2. You will have no fade only balance when you do this. you would be able to get better signal if you get a new radio. But this way will work.
