Default J&S Sensitivity Set-up?

My roommate's '00 turbo ITR is up and running now. Just finished the maiden voyage! We were playing with the J&S sensitivity adjustment and have a question. The J&S was set to "retard all" and the sensitivity to "midrange" par J&S instructions. The Tial has a 6 psi spring in it and the XS manual boost controller was turned all the way down. Ignition timing was set as 16 deg. When we floor it, the boost climbs to about 2-3 psi max. At approx 5000, some retard starts, maybe 2-3 lights, so 4-6 degrees. When VTEC transition happens, the thing goes crazy and fully retards, 10 lights (20 deg), and you physically feel the car slow. The A/F meter is still rich and hasn't budged. Is the sensitivty set too high or are we actually knocking that much? Reminder, this is only at 2-3 psi. Second question, in "retard all" mode, during partial throttle will all lights stay lit in a row if knocking is detected? We are going out to finish installing the fuel pressure gauge right now. Please help?

Default Re: J&S Sensitivity Set-up? (RStoR)

Sorry not to have any answers, but is it a DRAG III kit?
Might want to try and set the J&S to retard individual cylinders.
When I had my injectors done prior to the EXPO one of them (#1 ?) was flowing substantially less than the others (therefore the above suggestion).
Prolly want to turn the sensivity down a bit and see how it reacts.
Also suggest posting in the FI forum for more/better feedback.
I'm starting to think I'll be using the HONDATA unit (which one?)
Are you using a missing link or just the checkvalves?
Might be a good idea (if nothing else works out), to set the timing back to 14 or so.
Have a good weekend, ed.
